I don’t have a lot of pictures from the 80s. It was a weird time compared to today. Photos back then were film and cameras cost a bit of money and you had to wait until the roll was full before you went and paid to get the pictures developed. The ones worth scanning were my pictures from school.
At this age, I was still young to own a camera nor did I care to capture the moments that were exciting.

What happened to my face? About 2 days before picture day, while running to the yard some kid grabbed my hood and pulled me forward and I literally fell on my face and skidded on the rough cement ground.

There was a lot of cool things that happened in the 80s overall. Radio was more common. Television started becoming affordable so it wasn’t just the one TV in the family room. Wireless technology started happening and TVs started having remote controls. Cable TV became a thing and we had to get the newspaper to know what was on TV and at what time.
Cool shows were on TV that I really loved: I watched Sesame Street, The Muppet Show, Knight Rider, Automan, MacGuyver, and Sidekicks.
Eventually we got a video game system. The Atari. Games were a little pricey. To me anyway. I know all those games can be played in a browser. We also got a Commodore VIC-20 for a home computer. Everyone in my family considered it a toy. From the shows I watched, it was possible to make it a job!
The first tape recording and playing systems came to market. There was two. The VCR and the BetaMax. Not sure how the VCR won out, but it did. The street near where I grew up started getting video rental stores. The first movie I saw in my own bedroom was Terminator.
